Daily Yonder listens to (and seeks) rural Sierra stories

The Daily Yonder is an online rural news service, published by the Center for Rural Strategies. Editors Julie Ardery and Bill Bishop aim the Yonder at the 55 million people who live in the rural U.S. ­ They write, "Maybe you're one of them, or used to be, or want to be. As mainstream TV and newspapers retreat from small towns, the Daily Yonder is coming on strong."

Saving The Sierra's story on Cowboy Unite was recently featured as a "shocking story" of folks reaching across divides to work together. Thanks for noticing one of the key points of all the stories in our project, Yonder!

We, of course, are not shocked because we've seen a lot of collaborative work moving conservation of our magnificent mountain range forward.
